Stupid Stress…

So, apparently my thyroid is fine.  It’s just stress.  Which is a good thing, right?  I should be happy- I’m healthy! But somehow I am bummed. I thought this would be the answer to why I’ve gained weight.  It’s just stress. Screw you wedding, screw you house, screw you stress!!!!

About 2 weeks ago I started the T25 and Shakeology by Beachbody and i have been feeling much better and even lost 6.4lbs.  This should have been my indication that my thyroid was fine.  I just wanted to feel like I didn’t gain 10lbs in a month just by eating bad and being stressed.

So, here is to being more conscious about what I put in my body, working out 5 days a week, and taking a chillaxative! haha

If any of you are curious about the T25 or shakeology program, let me know! So far it is working for me!

Thyroid

This post isn’t really an interesting one; It’s more of a rant.  Lately I have been feeling “off’. I can’t really describe it, just off.  I have been very lethargic, moody, and I have put on more weight in the past 3 months than I have in the past 3 years.  I am not sure if this is due to stress with my wedding coming up, or if it is something more.

I did a little bit of research, and I related to most of the symptoms associated with hypothyroidism.  Hypothyroidism, if you don’t know, is when your thyroid isn’t producing enough of the hormone thyroxine, which slows down your metabolism and whatnot.  It typically doesn’t effect people under 40, but can in some circumstances.  I did some family investigating since I am adopted and don’t know much of their medical backgrounds.  It turns out that both my birth grandma, birth mom, and both of my birth sisters have hypothyroidism!  That was enough for me to call my doctor to schedule a blood test.

I went to the lab for my blood test 2 days ago, and I am still anxiously waiting for my results.  It may be nothing, or it may be something… As bad as it sounds, I hope I do have it so I can get my body under control again.  I have been feeling like I don’t know what is happening with it.

Let’s hope I hear something today, or soon!

Do any of you suffer from hypothyroidism?  Any advice?

I have a YouTube channel!

Hey everyone! Guess what! I started a youtube channel so I can film some vlogs and tutorials along with this blog!

I did the 20 question tag, so you all can get to know me a little bit better! I had a lot of fun filming this, and hope you enjoy watching it!!

Let me know if you would like to see more vlogs or have any think you would like to see!
